About Me

My path to becoming a CPA wasn’t a straight line — it was a steady climb built on two decades of hands‑on experience, real‑world problem‑solving, and the kind of perspective you only gain by running a business yourself.

I entered the accounting world over 20 years ago, long before I earned my CPA license, learning the industry from the inside out. I worked with small business owners, entrepreneurs, service providers, and growing companies who were brilliant at what they did but overwhelmed by the financial side of running a business. I quickly became the person they turned to when they needed clarity, structure, and someone who could make sense of the numbers without judgment or jargon.

At the same time, my husband John and I were building our own small business — a journey that has now spanned more than 25 years. That experience shaped me in ways no classroom or certification ever could. I know what it feels like to sign the front of a paycheck, to navigate uncertainty, to make decisions that affect your family and your future. I understand the pressure, the pride, and the responsibility that come with owning a business because I’ve lived it.

That dual perspective — seasoned accountant and long‑time business owner — is what makes my approach different. I don’t just prepare taxes or clean up books; I help clients build systems they can trust, understand their financial story, and make decisions with confidence. My expertise includes entity formation, S‑corporation elections, and the kind of detailed troubleshooting that keeps businesses running smoothly. But what clients value most is my ability to translate complexity into clarity.

For me, accounting is about empowerment. It’s about giving business owners the information they need to breathe easier, plan smarter, and move forward with purpose. It’s about being a partner — someone who listens, someone who cares, someone who understands the full picture.

Today, I bring my experience, my integrity, and my steady, practical guidance to every client I serve. Whether you’re starting a business, growing one, or trying to untangle years of financial stress, I meet you where you are and help you build something stronger.
